Elimination by Physical Evidence

Is it possible to eliminate suspects on physical evidence alone if you only uncover 3 pieces of evidence on a Stupendously Hard case? In other words, if a suspect doesn't match with any of the detected physical evidence, are they definitely innocent or is there always a (sometimes uncovered) fourth piece of evidence that could match with the murderer? Thanks.

Hey Susie,

There are definitely cases at the Stupendously Hard level in which there are only 3 pieces of PE. Once you have all your basic smart skills, you can rest assured that you will always find all the evidence at a crime scene. The level of detail can still vary, but you'll always find it. There are plenty of Almost Impossible cases with just 3 PE too :)

From my experience Susie, one of the pieces of PE will always match up to the killer, regardless of whether you have found the full quota of evidence or not.

In other words, if a suspect dosen't match up with any of the PE, they cannot be the killer.

Hope this helps you.

Make sure you have basic hair and thread skills. If you have those, you always find all the evidence possible.

Ms. Susie,

If you have all your hair and thread skills you will find all evidence as Ms. reda says. As for your question about a suspect who does not match any of the physical evidence, it has been my experience that that suspect is never the guilty one. I don't even bother asking the alibi question in hopes of saving that suspect for witness evidence.

Thanks for the responses! I wasn't too sure so it's good to get that confirmed. :)
