I always had a thing for cats. I guess it all started in the days I had my imaginary pet firned named Fluffy. Or did I just imagine that I imagined that? :-)))

Anyway, over the span of years I had numerous cats. Mostly from people who wouldn't/couldn't sterilize their cats and periodically were confronted with the trumendous task of looking for volunteers to adopt the newly born kittens.

Other cat lovers here at Sleuthville who want to share their cat experiences here at the boards?

Right now I'm "catless" so I fear Fluffy can show up any day now..... :-))

I am currently caring for the loveliest of cats. A Siamese Seal-Point male of medium intelligence... He is getting smarter though... with time! =)

He is not a stray, I bought him for a very good price. Since I was not looking for a pedigree, and since he was the last of his litter, the owner was keen to sell him at any price.

I've named him Milan and he's been with me ever since!

Ahh!!!! The days of Fluffy, my imaginary cat friend..... :)

I used to dream about the little bugger you know. He wore these boots and a feathered hat and tought me the fine art of fencing. One morning I woke up all covered in sweat of the "action". I turned around and I could have sworn I saw a white cat hair on my pillow...

Yes, Siamese seal points. I used to have one of those. Adopted him from the animal asylum. He was about 4 years old when I first met him and he lived up to 17 years, bless him. I also remember he had this pedigree with an impossible name like Bummel Vanderschelde. Jeeze.....

I have 2 cats at the present time. Patches, who is 16 traveled with me from New York to Georgia. She is the indoor cat. Patches has developed renal failure and a thyroid condition. We have to give her fluids under her skin and thyroid pills every day. She has a lot of life left in her and demands that I get on the floor to play with her. I also have to get out the step ladder to take her down from places I have no clue how she reaches.
One of her favorite activities is hissing at the outdoor cat.
Scruffy, showed up at our house in Georgia a few months after moved there. He looks just like his name. His longish black and silver coat was matted and one of his eyes was in terrible shape. The vet thinks that some one abused him. After he was fixed up as much as possible by the vet, he stayed inside for about a month. He then decided he wanted to be the outside kitty. He loves to sit on the deck and watch the birds. He doesn't seem to have any interest in killing them. He also likes to play with our neighbor's dog and at times acts like a dog, rolling over on the driveway so we can rub his belly. Of course, he does this when we have packages in our hands and can not see him. He also likes to peek in the windows of whatever room we are in and meow s(proobably asking for more food). This is when Patches gets into the act and hisses.

A badass black cat, Anikka? :-))) How could I have looked over that? What other characteristics does this interesting pet of yours have?

*cringing as our cats ran out of the room after hearing the sound effects*

I'd have to agree with Nitro...really, not a good game.

Crunch - I thought it was hilarious! Could not stop sending poor defenseless kitties to their bloody deaths. It really is a lot of fun! And this is coming from a serious cat person. Wouldn't put mine in a cannon, but cartoon kitties are different. It's okay when they explode :)

When I was around the age of 10 (about 13 years ago) my family moved into a house on a cul-de-sac. Under the house there lived a grey and white striped pregnant cat who I named Shadow. Shadow had a litter of about 5 or 6. We kept all of these kittens and I named them. Then Shadow got knocked up again and had another litter of kittens. A week or two later, a kitten from the first litter had kittens as well. As you can imagine, there were loads of kittens. I remember having 17 cats and kittens at one time (all outside, mind you). I can't even recall all their names or what order they came in. Then my family moved to a larger neighborhood and most of the cats got stolen or run over. One was killed by a dog (which got owned by the mama cat). :(
I haven't had a cat for about 10 years now.

How 'bout them apples? :)
