Oh I think Sami is talking about the grandeur of 'life' Mama. The mountain climbing and skiing, wind-surfing, novel-writing and moon exploration that all us regular folk 'should' be doing. Bah, with your petty little house wife duties ;) what does that achieve in the greater scheme of things. So your family feels cared for and loved. Meh.

:D

(disclaimer - has nothing but the utmost respect for anyone who has children and is organised enough to look after them. I had my nephew for a week over the school hols and that was two weeks ago and I'm still recovering.)

Serges is on vacation..I am soooooo stealing those boots and kickstabbing.

I see this thread and possibly my comment, being deleted in the very near future, but oh well.

A life, I have, thank you very much Samisoda. And a longer one than you, too. So bite me.

*half-unsheathes Keanu the modding spoon but then reconsiders*

Be nice, Sami! I think you'll find that most people don't really love being told they need to find "extra-curricular" activities by someone whose life is actually governed by legislated curricula. I know I sure as hell felt like I had a MUCH richer life when no-one could force me to spend my time picking apart a pig fetus in biology class. But that's just me. If you find that kinda thing enriching - dude, all the best; I'm sure that somewhere, there is a butcher or a porcine destruction cult looking for someone to talk to. But do be aware that if you don't pay rent or mortgage, buy food, pay bills, drive kids around, take care of sick people, repair broken stuff in your house, cook, clean etc. and STILL have time left over to hang out with your friends, take care of your long-term relationship, meet new people, work on making the place you live better, make people laugh AND post on message boards, you probably shouldn't talk trash about people who do.

*limps off of soapbox*

k, back to the happy funtimes posting of randomness:

I think it's funny that Niagara and Viagra kinda rhyme. A great deal of commercial sugar comes from beets. An emergency room is a great place to hang out if you are cold and homeless. Fried things are usually better than baked things, but pie is an exception. Every time I hear the phrase, "tossed salad" I have to suppress a giggle. I am also quite baffled by some of what BadAss has been posting lately, but I blame it on the influence of Sleuth Sindy. Ears of corn sounds like a terrible disease. I wish I was big like the Jolly Green Giant. I'm confused about his relationship with that chubby-cheeked veggie-kid 'Sprout', though.

I've never liked pie. It's a form over substance thing, I think. Something about that super-sweet, gloppy, cooked fruit that just doesn't work for me. And lest you suggest that I try some other pie, like chocolate creme or lemon meringue, well, I don't like those either. Neither does my sister, so maybe it's a genetically coded dislike. My husband finds this to be a baffling dislike and often tries to get to the bottom of how I can dislike an entire category of food, uh, categorically.

I don't like steak fries either, though shoestring fries and curly fries are fine.

curly fries are the BOMB! Like the best thing ever. Especially Arby's curly fries.

William likes his trains. I don't like this Slim-Fast thing, but it's working. I need chocolate. And crunchy stuff. Like pretzels. My house needs to be cleaned. Again. I hate laundry, it's bright outside.

Sammy's hari is wild today. And i can't wait for the next Harry Potter book and Stephanie Plum book to be out. NCIS season 3 better be worth 41.99 USD. I'm gald my MP3 player is working again and I really need to get that song for Jeremy about the father and son. I hate taxes, I hope we get a refund this year and I hope it doesn't take long at the accountants today.

Oh god, if you want a whacko pschycological thriller, read Survival of the Fittest by Johnathan Kellerman. FREA-KEY!
