Lady Jas had a technical malfunction with her mouse that resulted in her getting three false accusations (one of the perils of using a laptop computer). A lot of good people have rallied around her, but she has just lost a detective with oversix million xp.

I realise that there are many who know Lady Jas better, but I would just like to lend my support to a request for having her detective re-instated. Please feel free to add your condolences and support below.

Thankyou.

Great idea BadAss! You could buy an extra "life" for so many skill points after you reach a certain amount of XP. I think the number of skill points required would need to be high to maintain the "edge" of risk.

I just want to point out this skill would only erase ONE false accusation. Suppose you get a third one and use that special skill.....it would only remove the last FA but the two former ones still stand to keep you on the edge.

ooooooooh

I love that idea! I am just piling up skill points with nothing to spend them on. Since the expansion is done, I would love to have something to spend them on. Even if you make it super expensive, points wise.

Something more to look foward too. After you've done Villian Hunting, gotten all your skills, and bought all the gear. And an apartment. A "resurrection" skill.

I like this idea Badass. What to do with all those pointless err skill points? Even if you could erase one FA regardless of whether it was 1, 2 or retirement 3 with say 20 skill points, you could even open the skill up at 5,000,000 XP or 365 days whichever came first.

I've just noticed on the login page, there's a 'Reactivate your retired detective link'!

Thanks everybody for your input on this.

I liked a lot of the ideas expressed, and we may use a few in the future (such as the high level skill allowing for lower cost "resurrections").

As you may have already noticed, I decided to go with the more straightforward route of just allowing ANY retired detective to come back, with a substantial loss in experience, skill points, money and equipment.

Ultimately, there are going to be sad cases where something out of the player's control causes the occasional false accusation. Just as inevitably, however, there will be people who make those claims to cover for their own mistakes.

We can't be put in the position where we have to judge those claims, as there is no way we can be sure. Also, it's time consuming to handle issues like this on a one-by-one basis.

I hope this new system is flexible enough to make any sad cases to be a little more bearable, yet still provide enough negative consequences for retirement to make guessing in accusations unattractive.

Also, if it encourages a few ex-players to give their old retired detectives another shot, I think that's a good thing for the game.
