Lady Jas had a technical malfunction with her mouse that resulted in her getting three false accusations (one of the perils of using a laptop computer). A lot of good people have rallied around her, but she has just lost a detective with oversix million xp.

I realise that there are many who know Lady Jas better, but I would just like to lend my support to a request for having her detective re-instated. Please feel free to add your condolences and support below.

Thankyou.

I know for a fact that jas would not make this story up just for the heck of it. And she does not make up sob stories, or do it for any kind of popularity at all. She could care less how little or how many friends she has. She has done soo much for me, my fellow agency members, and other members on sleuth and she never expects anything in return from us. She's one of the nicest people I have EVER met in my life!!!

If a new policy and official rules were established, couldnt the detective just send an email or PM to Sleuth Admin and ask for the 1 more chance clause? That would eliminate a need for a sad story and there wouldnt need to be posts made about it. Everyone gets 1 chance, and maybe if you are over a certain experience level.

I am going to be repetitive, I apologize.
What about adding an extra FA allowance based on Exp points?
Example:
0 - 5 million exp - 3 FA's retires account
6 - 15 million exp - 4 FA's retires account
15 - 40 Million exp - 5 FA's retires account

We have increased the number of cases we can work on per day, but Shady is still pretty expensive, especially now that money is also being spent on apartments.

*likes the idea of giving subscribers the one more chance option*

No, any changes to retirement should be built into the game. If the process requires people to send their complaints to me (people do this already BTW) , than we'll eventually be back in the same situation. For instance, somebody who has already used their last chance would ask for another, or somebody right under the experience threshold.

For that reason, I would actually prefer that such a system would me organic than just allowing a single extra chance.

For instance, anybody could unretire as often as the like but the unretired detective comes back with significantly fewer experience points, skill points and money. This would be similar to the way most online games deal with death. Also, some very high level detectives may decide to stay retired so that they keep their places on the High Score lists.

Sounds fine to me - they could have a convalescence

Instead of being able to keep "un-retiring" as often as you like, could something be added to the program so that upon retirement a screen will pop up and ask if you would like to use your one more chance option? Then, if you retire again, that option would not appear?

Also, that would only happen with subscribed detectives over a certain experience level.

I like the idea of being able to come back with fewer exp pts etc. I would have jumped at that chance with Arabesque--even if she'd lost half her exp points she'd have still been over 1.5 million. And if skill points were taken away that would have been ok too--say half, again, and the detective would have to re-select what skills they want to have based on their remaining skill points. I have lost a detective I spent months working on, and any sort of compromise would have been preferable to completely losing her.

Oh and Ben--thank you for being a part of this discussion. It means a lot that we can all work together on a solution to this sort of situation.

Sorry to keep posting....but an idea: Maybe with every FA comes a loss of exp/skill points? That way it's sad, but not completely devastating.
