NEW YORK (Reuters) - Police investigators believe they have discovered the whereabouts of missing detective, Barry Grant. Grant was reported missing three days about by a friend of his, Rebecca Franks. "I was supposed to meet him at Big Lucy's that night but he never showed."

Grant, Global Sleuth Syndicate Ambassador from Shanghai, had been working at the Blue Pagoda Agency on a Good Will mission at the time of his disappearance. "He was becoming a much relied upon detective." Lady jasNmushu, a Director at Blue Pagoda Agency, said of the missing detective.

Police have reason to believe that Grant was abducted by operatives from HYDRA while on his way to Big Lucy's. "I was meeting him at the corner of Eleventh Avenue and 42nd Street that night." recounted a teary-eyed divorcee Mrs. Franks. "He never showed."

Chief Inspector James Mulligan was able to determine the last place Grant was seen. "Cyrus Tibby recalls serving Mr. Grant a Tom Collins around 7 pm that night. After that, Mr. Grant left the premises and that was the last anyone had seen of him."

This reporter secured an interview with the elusive Larry the Toe. "I don't know anything about that." was his response to all my questions.

There was a break in the investigation when a shady character finally stepped forward to reveal he saw a tall man with a hat being forced into a car. This shady character, who prefers to remain anonymous, was unable to make out the license plate number but he recognized the car and the man doing the abducting. "I've seen that happen before. Same guy. Same car."

Policed will not disclose any more details for fear it could put Mr. Grant's life in jeopardy. Chief Inspector Mulligan's final word: "We don't want to lose any more detectives to that fiendish group."

Yes, indeed Barry is currently an officer in my agency. Sadly to say though I, nor any of my other officers have seen him around the place in days. :(
He has been a real asset to us, and we dearly miss him!
*sigh*
I even left him a present and a note on his desk too...

AndreaX read latest New York Times with shaking hands. She felt her vision getting blurred. She knew what that add meant. She steeled herself and tried to remain in control.

When the shaking subsided, she got angry. She TOLD Barry not to mess with the HYDRA. Did he listen? Noooooo! Of course not! Out of some misguided loyalty he went after them, even after she had warned him how dangerous it was.

There was nothing else she could do. She had tapped every contact, shaken every source. No one, but NO ONE wanted anything to do with HYDRA. She will just have to wait and hope that Barry was smart enough to get out of this one on his own. Dammit.

Lady Jas had just picked up the latest edition of the New York Times and began reading the front page about Mr. Grant. She absolutely could not believe what she was reading! Was this really real?? Could this really be happening?

She was shocked that not one of Mr. Grant's friends had gone to his rescue, or attempted to.

Although she didn't know Mr. Grant that well, she did know that he was one of the nicest men she had ever met in her life. He had done so much, not just for her, but for her entire agency in the short time he had been with them. She really cared for him a great deal.

Lady Jas is usually a very nice person who contains herself but she began to get angry and felt the need to do something to try and save Mr. Grant. But what??

"Ok that's it, if no one wants to jump in the line of fire and save him then I will! They will take me instead!!!"

And that was Lady Jas' vow.
