Ok, so I have been suffering from insomnia for a few months. So while I am not developing web applications during the day and taking care of my daughter at night, I do like to read and have found that I have run out of reading material...even e-books.

So, what are some good books that you all have read lately? I read almost anything (one exception my tired mind can think of at the moment is those mushy, same plot/different era Harrlequin type of Romance books).

And for the comedians: What do you do during your insomniac phases?

My fiance and his friends insisted I read Feist. They're really pretty good even though they're a bit fantasy based. I have a pile of book I've yet to read but when I do I'll mention any that I really enjoyed. :)

Please do! I love suggestions from people. I especially love to find new authors...opens up a lot of reading possibilities.

I have read a few of the classics lately and some new stuff. I read "Great Expectations" by Charles Dickens. I also read "Pride and Prejudice" so I could read it before I Netflixed it.

I have read a couple by John Irving - he has a different style but the third book I was reading, I could not get into (I think it was called "Owen Meany") so it sits there waiting for another try. One that I enjoyed was "A Widow for One Year" or something similar to that - my mind can't think straight on 2.5 hours sleep...lol

I haven't dabbled in fantasy for awhile. I will probably be looking up those books tonight.

Ok, I better stop...I can go on and on about books (:

Me too. I read an 820 page Feist book in only five days (I only read during the day while my other half was working).

Yeah, I drive my boyfriend crazy. He will be trying to sleep and I have the light on reading because I can't sleep. He has no problems at all sleeping so I drive him batty. So I just let him sleep and go and do whatever around the house so he doesn't get too frustrated...lol

He isn't a big reader so he doesn't get it :)
