I just thought about this last night. When you have handwriting analysis and lockpicking, it only seems to follow that you should be able to determine either a suspect's handedness, or, be able to confirm or eliminate them as a match to your threatening notes, since you'll either find a journal or appointment book, both of which provide samples of the suspect's handwriting.

I'm not calling for a change here, since the system works just fine without it... but I was wondering if anyone else has thought of a similar situation where it seems like something would work but isnt written into the game.

I concur with Mr. Patty (*giggle* everytime I say, see, or think your name, I think of SpongeBob for some reaseon), and Ms. Biggie as well.

Why is it that when I find 2 foot prints I can only ID one as being slim/heavy ?

You can identify both its just a coincidence that you have only been able to identify only 1.

Yeah...that's really unrealistic when you're carrying out a favor for a townie and this townie clams up fast. You wanna help him...he refuses to give any informations. A lil' change there would be more realistic and avoid to stupidly failing a favor (which are supposed to be easy for an experienced detective since it's apart from the harder cases)

Keep on saying it Crunch. Those favour folks are just plain rude. Ask for a favour - then clam up!

I think this may have been addressed before, but I would like to see a “None” alibi show up on the suspect screen when discovered via lockpicking. After all, the detective would probably write this in his little black book, right? :)
When I solve, I like to “see” either PE on case screen plus fake/none alibi on suspect screen, or two WE’s for same suspect on case screen – this is a great way to avoid FA’s.
Yes, I can go back and question suspect to get the “no alibi”, but it uses up a question that might be needed elsewhere.
Just MHO :)

How about, when checking PE, only having those who could match on the list. So if you visit the barber to investigate a curly hair you found at the scene, all the people you know have straight hair could be removed from the list. It would make matching PE easier.
