Look at that, an on-time launch for a change!

Apartments are now available in the following cities:

New York
London
Shanghai
Delhi

To purchase an apartment visit the real estate agency in the city you want to buy in. Apartments are quite expensive, and furnishing them is also costly, so you probably should wait if your short on funds.

There are two types of furniture that aren't yet working:

1) Study Furniture / Case File storage: These items will allow you to save case files, as in detective agencies, but this functionality is not yet finished.

2) Bookshelves: Bookshelves will eventually allow your guests to read books that you have collected (and gain the experience from doing so), but these are also currently incomplete.

Enjoy.

I wonder if thieves will get in?

Stealing should not be a problem. Furniture allows you to store case files and equipment, but only the person who owns the apartment can see what is inside.

Is there a way to move furniture from room to room? If I buy a larger apartment, can I move a piece of furniture from bedroom to the study of any other room without selling it and buying a new one?

Sorry Rosamund, at this time I do not believe it is possible to move furniture around when you move. Though, if it is, I would love to redecorate my bedroom.

Hmm. So I was being all 'strategic' and I stuck my apartment in Shanghai. I haven't been by there in a bit but if memory serves me correctly, there was one piece of furniture on the sprawling, IKEA-esque menu/catalog in which you could store items that 'COULD' be seen by visitors.

Am I wrong? If not, has anyone bought this item? If so, does see-a-bility mean use-a-bility? If so, can you approve certain (oh let's say agency-mate type) people to borrow these items, or is it the case that anyone who can see your pad can borrow?

Discuss...

The Display case allows visitors to see your items, but they still cant borrow them.

It's a one time payment, Tommy. A large one, at that, but no monthly rent.
