Hi Nancy,

As you do your cases, wait for the little twist with the lady with the magnifying glass to come up. Read what she says: quit any cases that the Brotherhood wants to see go away and try to solve those they want solved. Once your standing is at +1 or better with them you can visit them in the church and do the "little jobs" they offer to get your standing up more quickly.

Nancy, there is a post at the top of the Newbie board that says "Why you should subscribe" this will answer your questions fully, but a short answer is Yes, subscribing is very beneficial to your involvement of the game.

Unsubbed:
3 cases a day plus favor
access to little jobs, and ability to become faction leader (only NY factions)
access to one featured mystery
message boards and bar chat

Subscribed:
12 cases per day plus up to 4 favors
same little jobs and faction leader ability, but now with all 6 factions
access to all featured mysteries
message boards and chat
Travel to new cities
Access to agencies and apartments
Access to Arch Villain hunts and Cairo

Most people will tell you that being able to be in an agency is well worth the price of admission. And subscribing for a month is about the same price as a coffee at starbucks or a lunch at McD's.

One additional point for new people thinking of trying out subscribing.

Contact a current subsriber and ask for a side kick coupon. That will save you 15% on your first taste of Sleuth.

Plus the Arch Villain League...while not technically part of the subscription, being able to access Villain hunts also gives you access to this very rich off-site expansion. Whole other cities, fun competition, lots of new secrets to figure out.
