At long last, I've finally gotten around to adding a live chat to Sleuth. We're testing out this new feature to see how well it works, so bear with us in the sort term, if there are problems.

For now, you can chat in the bars in all of the cities, and in the Coffee Roaster in Cairo.

You need to have Flash installed on your browser in order to use this feature.

I can't even see anything to sign on to.
I have flash, java and all that stuff.

You should just have to go to the bar and click on the link for chat.

The flash window is part of your browser and you should be able to chat.

Admin is tweaking the system still so try again in a little bit.

Possible bug:

It seems that when someone's detective is retired and they were in chat at the time it leaves them as logged into chat.

I am having the same problem as balash 3. Using both Firefox and IE, I click the link for chat and get a blank screen. It is a blank screen that takes some time to load, so I know something is getting transmitted.

Ok. Nevermind. Right after posting here I tried again and this time it worked. I did change themes before trying since I was curious if the Flat Black theme I always use was somehow goofing things. Very nice feature by the way.

Hm. I use flat black and it worked well for me.

As soon as it started working, I switched back to Flat Black and it was fine. I don't think that the theme was the issue. But since that is something I did between the chat not working and working, I reported it just in case.

That happened to me mamaterra but when i completely closed my internet explorer then signed back in at sleuth, I have no problems now.

I doubt that your theme effects it. The chat client may occasionally have trouble connecting, particularly if your internet connection is slow or erratic. If that happens, the best thing to do is wait a minute and refresh the page.
