5) The more valuable the contents of your room, the nicer it will look.
Damn, does this mean there will be no Martha Stewart Living collection of cheap items available at KMart that you can PRETEND are nice?
And further, if I furnish it expensively, will I still be white trash in real life? ;)

Also, can one upgrade to a better apartment later on, or is your purchase final?

Don't even trip Biggie, I will invite you to my project and we'll sit together and drink boxed wine out of old Slurpee cups. And I'll fix us some fried baloney sandwiches. With government cheese.

Okay, there will be no government cheese in my apartment. But there will be bagels. And gin. And a place for Crunch to store his pants when he's visiting, because I know they chafe him terribly. He can wear one of the fluffy towels I'll have available for the HH people.
Well, at least I have a few days to get wallpaper ordered in. Anyone want to shack up with me at the Oasis for a few days? We can have a pajama party. Biggie will make cosmopolitans!

so many questions! can your apartment be in another city. do you have to be there to invite a friend or can your brother crash there when you are out of town? How many friends can you have? Ohhh Ohhh Can I get a London apartment next to the Indian takeout?
two more days - that's cruel, and unusual punishment for sure. Grateful at least there won't be a daily rent to pay!

I think the key question is: can you have an appartment and an agency at the same time?
Storing case file and equipment is great. 10 detectives in an agency plus 10 apartments with no daily rent. Loads of extra locker space (just 10 more items is huge) plus extra files for hunting.

Clarifications:
1) Each detective can own a maximum of one apartment. The apartment is purchased in a particular city, and is only accessible from that city. You can move your whole apartment to another city, but the cost is significant.
2) You can have an apartment and belong to an agency at the same time. Apartments are not intended to replace agencies. There is no way to share items or case files with an apartment.
3) When you buy an apartment, it is empty. You can buy new furniture and sell your old stuff at any time.
4) You can move into a larger or smaller apartment after moving in, for a price of course.
