Hey folks,

I'm saving up some cash for an agency of my own, but I have some questions about the various statistics and features of the different agencies, and questions about how they work in general:

1. What does "Maximum cases per Detective" mean? Is this a daily limit or something? Can a Detective be working on more than one case at a time? I don't get it and it isn't in the FAQ.

2. Who pays the Daily rent? Can the cost be divided among all detectives?

3. How does the Crime Lab work, and what does it do? I'm guessing it lets you analyze clues without having to ask a barber/banker/tailor/shoemaker, but obviously I can't be sure.

4. If you move to a better property, do you get any of your original down payment back? If so, how much?

Thanks for your answers in advance,

~S.A.M.

4) When moving headquarters, a percentage of your old down payment is available to help with the new one. I think it's 40% or so.

Or you can 'sell' your old office to someone else, right? In which case you might be able to get a higher percentage back. Or did I misread that somewhere earlier...?

Ulysses,

Selling an office isn't technically supported, but is doable. What you would do is invite the buyer to join your agency. Then they could transfer the buying price, because detectives in the same agency can send each other money. Then you would promote the buyer to Director, and then all the old agents would quit. So you aren't really selling the headquarters, you are selling the agency. It could work, but the buyer would not be able to rename the agency, and would inherit all of the fame that was already built up.

Any chance that favors will eventually be allowed to be stored in case files? I was doing a favor linked to a treasure hunt, I only had 3 suspects, and the third clammed up on my first question (which was motive related) since I couldn't store it, I had to quit.

^^^ I had that happen today as well. A favor case was impossible from the start with my character's current level and skills, so I had to quit. :(
