*goes about the room hanging streamers while humming Happy Birthday. Sets up a table so heavy with food and drinks it seems ready to topple. Sets up another table for the gifts. Starts the music and finally hangs a banner which reads: HAPPY 1000th BEN!!!*

Thanks Ben for all your hard work!

While some were dancing, and others were chatting, Lulah glanced at her watch, walked over to the radio, and switched it off. Everyone looked at her in confusion, and those who were dancing were cut off abruptly. She simply smiled and motioned for them to wait. It appeared to be a prearrangement of some sort. She winked at Ben.

Just then, an Egyptian Zaffa band burst into the room with the sounds of the mizmar, tabla, doff, and rababa. They marched toward the dance floor then stopped. Tinuviel then appeared wearing a black and gold belly dancing costume she had her friend the tailor make for an occasion like this. She stepped onto the dance floor, barefoot with a large kholkhal (anklet) around her ankle, holding a black veil across her face.
"We're not called al-Qahirah for nothing!" she said with an audible smile behind the veil.
Then the sad sound of a wind instrument tugged at everyone's hearts, it was the nai. Tin swayed and the veil seemed to swim and float around her then she dropped to the floor, waiting. The oud then entered the song with a more lively rhythm and tune. Tin got up slowly, her hips making wide circular movements, her hands and arms moving fluidly around and above her. The tabla joined in and Tin threw the veil to the floor and swirled into action. One of the musicians handed her a pair of sagat (tiny cymbals) which she attached to her fingers and played to the rhythm of the tabla. She circled every table while dancing and twirling, bending forward and leaning back, shaking her shoulders and hips. Then she went back to the dance floor. She dropped to the floor again, and the music ended. “Happy 1000th Ben!”

During Tin's performance, Lulah, who was terrible at belly-dancing despite the fact that she was half Egyptian, attempted to move her hips and shake her stuff to the music. The attempt was poor, and the display, comical. Nevertheless, she was having fun.

The squirrel shuffled his little feet to the music... he stuck his toungue out as tried to tie the ribbon around his best acorn as a gift for Ben. He hoped Sunny had a nutcracker as he scrawled a message with a shakey little paw, "Happy 1000th oh Mighty Sleuth God. Like the old oak tree may you stand strong and gather wisdom throughout the ages ..."

Ben, what can I say?

You're the reason I've been able to entertain myself, make friends, and get through a few hard times!

I won't ever forget bugging you to make it "Waitress" and not "Waiter," or how I mysteriously stopped being able to reach the Game Info page (thanks to Sunny for that one too)!

Ben, Happy 1000th! - Amazing how we haven't gotten sick of ya yet! :D

Cenoecox looks up from her pitcher of beer, straw dangling out of her mouth and sees the birthday boy. She dismounts from her donkey and claps him on the back jovially, malt liquor spilling on the floor. She then pulls from her ass-pack (get it, donkey, ass pack-?) a beautifully wrapped box of Cap'n Crunch, which she hands over with a broad smile.
"Congratulations. You know, Ensure works just as well as milk".

Yay! Happy birthday me! And I don't feel a day over 500.

Seriously, I'm happy and surprised that this project that started out as a cute little kitten of a project, has grown into a great, big, fat, ornery cat with friends all over the world.

Thank you to everybody for staying interested and involved. I would have lost interest in Sleuth a long time ago if it weren't for all of you.

Ben you have managed to create a society where people can come and have fun regardless of where they are from. Happy 1,000th!
