How do you make contacts?

You can earn a PE contact (hair, note, foot, thread evidence) and a WE contact (the rest of the townies) in each town for a total of 2 per town and a grand total of 10 when you are subscribed and can travel.

You get someone to be a contact for you by doing them a favor (after ever three successfully solved cases you can do a favor for a townie) and sometimes after that favor is successfully solved they will become a contact for you.

When they are a contact they will never clam and you can ask as many questions as you want.

Also to add to what Ran said there is no point where you will recieve your contacts it is totally random. Some sleuths have been looking for specific contacts forever. *eyes Greyling* :)

lolz i just took mi 1st favor but i got a chemistry kit, not any contact. my question is do i sell it to the person i want and then they will 'contact' me?

No, petal, once you reach a certain level of experience you get a contact instead of an item. It costs nothing. The items give you bonuses to your chance to use skills, so have a good look at your detective before you sell an item.

Ciara, you will get a contact randomly, it could be your next favor, or it could take months. Just keep plugging away

I thought that once someone was a contact, they never clammed on you, but supposedly, the Bartender in Shanghai is my client and he has now clammed twice. I just had to spend $200 to bribe him. Not happy!

Oh, never mind, another character I don't play as much has the Shanghai Bartender as a contact. Sometime's blonde isn't a hair color--just a state of mind!

Artemis, according to your bio your only contact is the Music Teacher in NY...

I notice you said the bartender was your "client"... are you possibly getting terms confused? As in, youre doing a favor for the bartender?

It's strange, but yes, your client in a favor can and will clam up on you...

A contact and a client are two different things. You have only one contact right now, the Music Teacher in NY. (as shown on your detective page)

When you do a favor for a townie, they will still clam on you same as before. Even though in real life, if you are doing them a favor, they should probably give you all the help they can.
