Cases for Travel and a Shipping Company

The expansion has added a dimension to the game that now requires a lot more travel. In order to capture your villain, you must travel the world. This means if you have to get to the next city, you will have fewer cases for the day when you get there.

It also took me 11 cases to get Flat Black. Not really worth it, in my opinion, when it prevented me from earning a skill point that day.

I have asked a few people what the rationale is behind charging cases for travel. I was told it was to "level the playing field". I don't understand this concept. The playing field will still be level if it doesn't cost cases to travel. Why are we penalized for wanting to see another city? I am interested in hearing a very good reason for this charge. The Arch Villain expansion seems to be very popular despite my opinion of it. But it is also costing valuable cases when you consider the repeat rate of the clues, which are 2 of the reasons I am not enamored with it. And 2 more cases for the day, added during the expansion, now seems rather inadequate. I think cases for travel should be dropped.

Travel has also become necessary to trade Shangri-La native requested items. It is necessary to Agency hop in order to do it and, with the 48-hour rule, it could lock out a Detective from his home Agency for those 48 hours if the hopping is not handled skillfully. And when you do get the item, you may not have enough cases to get to Shangri-La to deliver it that day.

Since item trading has been sanctioned, I'm sure there has been a lot of travel and a lot of Agency hopping.

I would like to suggest a shipping company. Instead of requiring a Detective to leave his Agency, join another Agency temporarily, travel to that Agency's city and back again potentially costing the Detective up to 8 cases without a kit and putting the supplying Agency at risk of potentially being stolen from, why not allow the item to be shipped? If the desire is to slow down the rate of success, require a 24 hour delay for the item to arrive.

I am well aware that what I suggest is not insignificant. But I suggest it in good faith that the current game might be improved upon before another major expansion comes out.

*tips hat*

About travel cost:
That just sound loggical to me, if you travel (which will took like 10 hours in real life) you will just not have time to solve cases.
Like you say, we have 2 extra cases, so if you solve 12 cases (AI) + 4 favors a days , it's really enough to me.
Yes you lost some cases when you travel, but in the end I think that you have still more cases to solve than before.
On a side point there is a reward item that could save some travel cases. It could be interresting if BEN add a way to buy it(for the players who don't choose it in the first time and who regret their choice after the expansion).
There is not really good reasons to lose case when you travel, but each player do his choice here.
The problem was already existing with multi city treasure hunts, the reward is only 24000$ in the better case if 5 or 6 agents from an agency move (and considering that you're not sure to win the hunt) in the end the agency is just losing money. (thats us who make the game like this will could send only one agent).

About AVH & trading:
Ouch that the first time that I do a comment about this on the general board...

I dislike (a lot) the fact that doing an AVH forbid the player to be active in his agency (for me agencies are the heart of the game).
Why not create new cases AI AVH that you can't save in the case file?
So the player is still able to help is teamates, participate in treasure hunt (still be part of the agency), but can still tell "Hey have solve a lot of AI by myself, see how much vilian I have caught".

I don't support the trading outside of the detective's agency, in my mind it's reducing the interest of the agency and of the expansion.
It just shorten the time that you'll pass to discover all the thing that Ben have passed so much time to hide in the game.
