I just ran across a suspect with my avatar frequenting a brothel of 'unsual tastes'. Creepy, but very funny... :)

I just had a case that was one hell of a cat fight. First of all, the suspects were 8 women. Second of all, I believe only one or two had real alibis.. and four of them gave me the "none of your business" routine.

Worst of all, they pretty much all fingered each other, and I never did find a single piece of witness testimony that fingered the women that had fake alibis. I had to use physical evidence [I think it was a hair, I can't recall] after a few billion interrogations. Yikes.

I had a game once where the victim's best friend had a reason for killing the victim. The reason was: The best friend despised the victim.

A UK resident myself, I was amused at one suspect's name: Sunny Manchester.

That's a good point...

At least the flirting skill potentially plays off of the suspect's romantic inclinations, not necessarily the sleuth's own. That's cool, and for me somehow outweighs the 'falling in love' storyline that seems to happen so infrequently (for me, at least)...

Stuff to think about, at any rate.

Yeah, accounting for sexual orientation actually pops up as a headache in lots of situations, when writing for this game. The thing is, romance and sexual tension tend to play a big role in the detective novel genre, and I'd like to work it in more.

It seems a little heavy handed to ask every new detective to indicate a sexual preference for their detective, though.
