Is there a number of successful favors you need to do in order to gain a contact? If so, how many? Also, can a non-subscriber purchase real estate to start his/her own agency, providing there is enough $$ to do so?

There is not given number for a favors you have to do before you gain a contact. Sometimes it happens quickly, other times it takes a while. Eventually, you will get 2 in each city; one WE contact and one PE contact.
Only sunscribers can start or join ana agency.
