What can you do if you seem to not be able to do anything else?

I am supper stuck on my first case. I have two suspects with false alibis and I can't seem to find any more information to help me know which one is the criminal. I've looked everywhere! It's super hard to do anything in the beginning. Should I just guess and hope for the best?

ok Perky (lol sorry) I PM'd you this when I moved this post, but don't guess. It's a bad habit to fall into.

Umm (I know I bang on about this), but if you haven't done the tutorial, please do so. Maybe a couple of times. It helps you to get a feel for what you can do and can't do.

Also read the Welcome Newbies Post in this section, it's invaluable when you first start out. Also read the Newbie FAQ at the bottom of the page that's very good!

Umm as to your current case, have you asked the suspects if the have seen anyone being suspicious? Did you find any evidence at the Crime Scene? Have you questioned those townies responsible for those peieces of evidence eg Tailor for thread, Banker for notes?

If you have and haven't gotten anywhere, just quit and start again. No harm in quitting (there's a post in the Sleuth Talk about how many cases you have quit, where you'll find it's quite acceptabe to quit :) )

Oh and make sure you buy ASAP the basic smarts skills of hair & thread analysis otherwise you can't find hairs and threads at the scene.

Happy Sleuthing :)
