Skill Points Dilemma-

Do skill points come more frequently based on number of cases solved or number of experience points gained? I am desperately saving for a 13 point skill and wondered if it is better to try to tackle the odd hard case to up the skill points or if its better to just keep going. The catch 22 is, if I had this skill I would do much better at 'hard'! But the skill points have really slowed. Any pointers welcome. Thanks

You receive skill points based on your experience. The more experience you gain, the more experience it takes to earn a skill point. When you first start out, you may earn one skill point for every 20 experience points you get. then it moves up to 1 skill point for 100 experience, then 200 (I am guessing at the actual numbers at this point) ... At some point it becomes 1 skill point for every 40,000-50,000 experience points. Skill points never come 'more' frequently, always less.

Thanks Arabella. I think I've worked out that skill is currently coming at about one every 1000 or so - oh dear! Its gonna be a long, slow, learning process.
