does it depend on standings only ? coz i remember i was 42 and in the next day another guy took it his standing was 37 actually my standing fell down that day but still was 37 , i know it doesnt depend on subscription .

It does depend on standings. You must have the highest standings with the faction after server change. Your standings fall at server change each day, until you hit + or - 10.

In the case of a tie:

1) If one of the two people was the previous day's faction leader, than that person remains the leader (you have to beat the existing leader to become the new leader).

2) If neither of the two tied detectives was the previous leader, the game picks one of the tied detectives randomly.
