Hi all,

I have been teaching myself javascript by writing a Sleuth helper page that adapts as you enter in more information.

It's at http://www.angus.demon.co.uk/sleuth/watson.htm

It's ready for beta test (a euphemism for 'it might still contain bugs'), so please try it out and let me know what you think!

I was having a love affair with this application even though it has some cumbersome things about it. But my love, after many a case is being scorned it woudl seem.

Coincidentally the issues started with my move to incredibly hard cases. What happens is that I input information and suddenly there is a cascade of effect that rolls through the sheet. This post is prompted by my putting in the characteristics of a suspect who had been eliminated due to research. Everything on my sheet turned green! So... as I have been doing for my past several cases, I've had to re-input information in order for it to display correctly.

I could eat my own foot. Help?? Are there bugs or fixes or a more current version? I'm running it on a Mac which should be irrelevant since I *think* it is written in java...

Lastly, are there any updates being done to this fab tool? Being able to mark off suspects that have clammed or who have one or two more questions in them would be helpful. Or even just to know who I have interrogated to the brink of insanity...
