I work hard to maintain my standing with my factions only to log on this morning to see that they have all been reduced to 10...

No, I did not just 'forget' to monitor them closely, I especially went to London to assure that the ET was happy with me (ie 14 yesterday).

I feel robbed; what other rules have changed?

None of the above solutions seem to fit; I thought, though I could be confused, that when you were in a city where a particular faction IS NOT located, the points do not go down:

Sitting in Delhi but points for Eastern Triads went from 14 to 10; I won't quibble about the DAB and CoL decreases ;)

no matter which city you are in, if you have higher than 10 faction points with the faction, your points will decrease at midnight.

For example, I travel to Shanghai with +13 Socrates and I have +15 DA. The next day, both will decrease, even if they are not located in Shanghai. Once they reach +10, they will not decrease.

I am not sure why they decreased by so much, but they should have decreased by 1 or 2.

Any news?

It seems to me that you can get faction cases on archvillain hunts - but the lady with the magnifying glass never appears. You can tell only by looking at the case page. I'm not sure if they count, though. The same thing happens on favors, but they don't affect your score.

So if you were doing AV cases, perhaps you could accidentally lower your faction standing without realizing it?

I can confirm Dogberta's information as I noticed the same thing. No lady with magnifying glass but still losing faction points. All of the twists from normal cases get replaced by villain hunt twists. So you have to check the Case tab after a twise to see if it is a faction case.
