Wouldn't it be cool if we could get a pop up telling us when there was a reply on our post?

If there's already a post like this oops!!

Thanks S.S. And I must say that the more I think about it, the more I like the idea of being able to edit and/or delete your own posts. Saves embarrassing circumstances like these.
Think about it. Who wouldn't like a "do-over" button for the day you walked around with your fly open for 6 hours...and the 70 year old math teacher Mr. Whittle pointed it out...in front of the cheerleading team....and you happened to be out of underwear?

What'd he say? I missed it. I was whittling myself a Mr. Cheerleader doll...

(And some splinterproof pine-scented boy shorts. You know. Just in case.)

ugh I have a question...

How many boys have you seen ever actually WEARING boy shorts? aren't they just underwear that aren't thongs?

Sheesh!

Don't you feel a little woody in those crunch?

aaaaand back onto topic...

Editing posts is iffy. So is deleting really.

Editing/deleting what you said last week sounds great as far as hindsight goes, but could change the context of whole conversations, roleplaying threads, etc etc And if someone gets hold of your pass, then you open up Sleuth to Board mayhem.

Goodness knows there's enough people who play that can get quite hmmm 'snippy' at times. I could see whole swathes of post histories being deleted during a tantrum or three, only to regret the deletion 25minutes later... unless of course you'd like to suggest an 'un'delete button as well :D

Too many hassles involved me thinks.

Have I mentioned I love my Outbox! :D

Ok, S.S., you bring up some valid points. I suppose what I really want then is just for ME to have an Edit and/or Delete button. Obviously those other idiots would simply abuse the privilege, whereas I would use it for the benefit of all mankind (especially myself).

Ceres, that's so close to the moderator's oath it's scary!

I think when this has come up before, someone suggested a 'preview post' option; sort of a last chance to see if your junk's hanging out before you get on the school bus, if you will...

Well, if everyone had their junk in check, then the mods would get restless. Eeesh, restless mods.

I do kinda agree with Ceres.

Maybe make it so that the editttittititninindns (or however that should be spelled) buttons are for like, spelling/grammar and appear at the bottom of the post.
