Hey there are some new skills listed at the skill helper trap detection and hostage negotiation what about the trap detection because hostage negotian has something to do with pirates

According to the Help box found when trying to buy new skills:

Trap Detection (Faction Skill - tough) - 12 skill points needed - Alerts you to the presence of natural and man-made dangers.

Hostage Negotiation (Faction Skill - charm) - 12 skill points needed - Allows negotiation with pirates

Beyond what is listed, I haven't a clue, but I am looking forward to figuring it out. :)

If we are Very Charming, will the Hostage Negotiations only cost 10 skill points? Same for Very Tough and Trap Detection?

I've been sort of scanning the "who's logged on" thingy and still haven't seen anyone in Cairo. Anyone figure this out yet?
