Does anyone know the following:

In AI cases there can be 7 or 8 fakes and 10 or 11 people.

If I only have 10 suspects, does that mean there will only be 7 fakes, or can there still be 8?

So far when I've had 10 people and only two real alibis, I've always asked for the third alibi and it has always been real - always leaving only 7 fakes... I haven't encountered 8 fakes yet with 10 suspects... I'd really like to save a question!!!

I don't think I've had 8 fakes ever. The only way that could happen is if you only got 3 clues on an 11 suspect case though, yeah?

So, are you all solving AIs based on 7 fakes only??

Wow, that would make things easier!!! I have no idea where I got 8 fakes either, now that I'm thinking about it. Maybe it was the sleuth helper? I don't remember.

But if that's what everyone else is going on, it must be right. Sweet!

Also, 7 is without research. Its 6 if you have that skill. :)

According to the Sleuth Helper:

Almost impossible 11 people 4 evidence 7-8 suspects

I am soooooo glad to know that there are only 7 every time. This will make my life a lot easier.

Thanks everyone!

AndreaX, there can also be 10 OR 11 people in AIs.

And I must say, 7 solid fakes is certainly making it easier. Wish I realized that during my first few AV hunts!

Ms. AndreaX,

I believe those statistics are a Sleuth secret and the only reason they are known is because of the hard work of previous detectives.

This may be an opportunity to announce my own version of the Sleuth Helpers. I created them in Excel so that I could save them when I had to walk away. Right now I only have the Macintosh versions. I will be posting PC versions very soon. How do you get them?

Sleuth helper has some mistakes in it. AI has always 7 fakes (6 after reaserch).

The number of fakes in ALL levels is a fixed number, while the number of suspects is x or x+1. So only the suspects number can change within a certain level.
This has been like this since I play (so almost for ever :)

PM me if you want the list of numbers.

Those sleuth helpers you did in Mac work very well on my PC Barry. Thank you for those updates.
