Registration is NOW being accepted for the October 10th beta test of the Dart Leagues in the AVL ("Arch Villain League").

I need 36 volunteers total to test everything, with the following stipulations:

2 sets of 6 detectives from the same agency (6 Hitchhikers & 6 Sirens, for example)

4 sets of 3 detectives from the same agency (3 Omega, 3 Blood & Dagger, 3 Fat Kitten, 3 SMRT Investigations, for example)

2 sets of 3-man teams regardless of agency affiliation

6 testers who will be teamed up at random.

If you are interested in learning about the AVL or becoming a Beta-Tester, please go to:

www.liquidkourage.net/sleuth

for more information.

If you have already talked to me about being a beta-tester, please PM me for your favlidation code.

I'll check the database Crunch

Also, just a reminder to you newbies out there, you will not be accepted into the AVL if you don't have 100K experience and are subscribed! :)

I'm really intrigued by the AVL and I'd love to get involved, but I have one qualm (cherished and kept in my qualmery).

This is probably a really stupid question, but does it make any difference what time zone you're in? It sounds like team members need to keep in touch a lot during the match, which could be a problem if you're not going to be online at the same sort of time.

I actually think that's a really good question! But I don't think it makes a huge difference. The Secret_Squirrel is a great example...he's like 17 hours ahead of server time or something like that, and his teams have been quite successful (resulting in the resplendent wookie-howls of "Gooooooooo NUTS! we keep hearing) irrespective of where his team-mates come from.

Love "qualmery" btw... is this a distinction between wild versus farm-raised qualms?

FYI All:

I know there are database issues right now, I am working to rectify them but have to wait on my own time zone issues with Serges, who is without internet at the moment.

Promise I'll have it fixed as soon as humanly possible :)

Many thanks, Mr Patty. I will attempt to calm the qualm.

In answer to your question, I'm currently importing qualms from various parts of the globe to see if they'll breed with the home-grown variety. I may get qualmettes.

I think the only issues with the time zones is 1st Blood! You could be like me and be sleeping soundly at changeover so I gave my password to someone to accuse for me...hehehehe As for the rest since I dont talk much while doing AI cases I just send my team mates an update on my progress and they do the same!!

GO NUTS!!

Yeah 17 hours or so ahead. It's 5 past 1pm here now.

But very little problem with co-ordinating hunts. I've played with six or seven different people now, from all over. You don't need to keep a running dialogue with your team mates. Just an end of day progress report. eg

"End of Day 3, STILL in City 1 (I HATE DELHI)

Hope you guys are less sucky then me...

GO NUTS!!!"

That kind of thing :)

PS GO NUTS!!

Thats been the way I've done it too, even with people IN my time zone, so I'm glad your qualms are qualmed now Cordelia ;)

I know there's a lot going on in Seuthville at the moment, Carmen chasing, Cluedo cluing, and March Madness has everyone practising their baton twirling and trying to glue down their swim suits, but there a few AVL matches up for grabs at the moment peoples.

Two for this week, and one for the middle of next week. So go over and check it out.

If you're doing Villian Hunts, then there's really no reason not to, and will give you some added incentive, and more importantly at the moment, some compatriots to whinge about Delhi with!

[I hate Delhi!]
