Hi
I was not playing SLEUTH for a while now, so can you tell me what happened with bribing my witnesses, becouse I do not have that option any more?
What skills are available at Cosa Nostra and at The Dies Arcanum...?
How come I got ZERO skill points for the last 4 cases I solved successfuly?
THANKS

I have 1 more question- does, for example, magnifying glass, in addition of increasing my smarts adjustment, give additional information regarding my clues, help me define the characteristics of my clues , or is it only there just for fun of collecting different items?
THANKS AGAIN

Are you sure you have enough cash to bribe your witness? If you don't, the option won't show up. Other than that the only thing I could think of is a bug, but I doubt it.

Faction skill for La Cosa Nostra is Safe cracking, and for the Dies Arcanum Brotherhood it's pickpocketing.

Skill points continually become more and more expensive as you increase in experience. The limit on that seems to be around 50,000 XP per point, which is approx. 10 Almost Impossible cases. But I assure you, with patience and higher difficulty cases, those points will come!

The only thing items do (with one exception) is modify your skill adjustments. Some detectives pick items based on how they'll affect their stats alone, but others like to pick character-specific items.

I for instance walked around with a Money Medallion for about 4 months so I could tell people I was a pimp :)
