This is a whine ,, only a whine. My last 4 favors have been for the fortune teller. It would not be so bad if I did not already have the
fortune teller as my contact. I am trying to get my PE contact in London and have about 160,000 experience points.

Has anyone else been in a situation like this?

Chron, I don't think anyone is attacking you, it's just that when you drop in with cryptic comments like this, without anything to back them up with, I think it's only natural for people to want more details.

Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for life. The things I say may seem mysterious, but that's only to get people to figure things out for themselves, rather than to just give them raw info. If you tell a person everything, then you're really not helping them, you're just programming them. Until this thread, even my teammates didn't know this information, but they were the recipients of my findings. I've given them hints and pointers as guidance, rather than just tell them 'Do this' or 'Do that'.

I apologize sincerely if anyone has taken offense by this 'revelation', be it whether they just don't believe it, or they're upset that they didn't figure it out, or what have you. Once again, my Shady costs are killing me, because I help my teammates with money when they need it, but the high cost of mistakes takes its toll, so someday (hopefully later than sooner), Chro will be done. In real life, I've always been around more experienced people and they've taught me that you pass knowledge on as a way of showing thankfulness for the opportunity to learn it in the first place.

There have been several agents who've pm'd me regarding this matter, and their feedback has been positive, so I'm happy I 'opened my big mouth' anyway. :-)

Chron you should not take offence at anyone being upset because you figured out something that they could not.

I do think there is a distinction between force feeding someone by doing things for them (turning cases, etc) and giving them all the tools that we as experienced detectives have so they can use them as they see fit.

Just as with the recent expansions, some people figured out things quickly and then shared that with others so that pool of knowledge for everyone grows.

I understand helping others, I have helped dozens of people feed that never ending hunger of those greedy monks without taking advantage of any of that for my self yet. It is better to help everyone out equally so that no one feels left out.

I think the determining factor in why a detective is successful here in Sleuthville is and should be hard work rather than being one of the ones lucky to be 'in the know'.

I am sure the ideas you put forth here Chron will be debated, disected and tested by a lot of detectives over the next few weeks and months. It should help make for a better game and help Admin see what directions to tweak things.

Well said, my friend, and trust me, I'm not offended. I just don't want anyone else to be offended. :-)

If this is true and everytown person has a connection with a faction, then I guess that it would matter which faction has opened the hunt.
If I knew which townperson works for the faction that asked for the hunt then I will know the favors needed.

At least that what I understand from what Chron said. BUT if this is the situation then there couldnt be hunts with so many different favors. We dont have enough townies! But still we have hunts with 8-9 favors. So how can this be possible?
Could it be that you found connection that is not really there?

Chron. I'd like to thank you very much for replying to my post about my officer. She has been trying for months and months to get this certain contact. Your advice and hints, really helped her, as soon as she did what you suggested she got her contact. Again, my officer and I thank you very much!
