There are two common requests that we can tackle simultaneously. The first is that people want to submit their own picture to use as their detective's avatar. The second is that there are not enough different suspect pictures.

So, if you would like to submit your own picture, I can set that as your avatar. In exchange, I would like to add those pictures to the pool of possible suspect pics. I'll set it up so that nobody else will be able to use your picture for their detective, but your face will make appearances in the various cases in the game.

I don't want to automate the process because then people will upload all kinds of junk that would detract from the game.

I'll take care of the cropping, resizing and desaturating. By sending in photos, you are granting permission for use in this game.

Yeah, I've also noticed that the pictures of those of us who submitted them later haven't been put in the suspect pool. I think it'll be interesting when they do.

but even if it wasnt, ben would've replied.

The detectives in my agency said theirs were uploaded within 24 hrs or so, and there was also a reply email to the address they sent the photo from. So... this mystery really has me stumped!

weird, i guess i'll wait a couple more days and then try again, something might have happened and it didnt go through
