My current standing with the Order of Socrates is [Good (19)]:
* How much more until I am able to learn Hypnotism?
* How many skill points will it cost me?
* What exactly does it do?
* Is it worth going so much down with the Arcanum Brotherhood [Poor (-7)] and the Cosa Nostra [Poor (-7)]?
** Lastly, while we're on the subject, what exactly are AB's and CN's special skills?

Dude, you need 94 skill points and a Big Mac! You can get the Big Mac from the restaurant in Delhi. Sometimes the Postal Worker will give you a Big Mac instead of a package.
When you get hypnotism you can make the townies do your bidding. I had them build me a sweet castle where me and my fellow Hitchhiker New York members now live like Kings and Queens.
Okay, I am lying. Crunch Patty's answers were like spot on.

You totally need the 'special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions' skill. It lets you build burgers you can pelt at the townies until they give up the info. Nothing's uglier than a Librarian sweating Mac sauce.
Sadly you can only get it directly from Al Z, and only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, when he's wearing the Ronald costume. Yeah, pm Al Z about that ;P.
*serious guy voice* yeah Andrew, there are lots of other special skills that are pretty useful, but you can only get them in other cities - you need to subscribe before you can travel to them.

You need to have a 30 (great) standing with Order of Socrates to learn Hypnotism, and it costs 10 skill points. It allows suspects to give you an extra name while asking suspects about motives.
