Partially due to this site, I am now becoming a fan of Sherlock Holmes! Yippee!

While certainly we must respect Mr. Doyle's work, I love the works of Agatha Christie even more. Try his Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple stories Andrew.

They are nothing short of great!

<double take>

His works Al? Um wasn't it Dame Agatha Christie as in female? lol, sorry buddy I'm in a rotten mood and couldn't resist. But I must agree with you, I prefer Hercule Poirot novels to Holmes stories any day of the week.

Although maybe my dislike of Holmes is partly due to Doyle's strained relationship with one of my hero's Houdini. I just could never reconcile how the creator of the consumate logical detective could be taken in by spiritualist nonsense. But we all have our weaknesses I suppose.
