You were a conscious little person in the 80's? Prove it. My proof:

Yeah I do a double take every time I see a black trans am because I think it might be the talking car from Knight Rider

I know all the words to the 'Fresh Prince of Bellair' theme song.

I have owned a pair of 'Hammer Pants'. D'ah d'uh d'uh d'uh...can't touch them.

You?

First of all, I'm only 13 so i obviously wasnt an 80's child, but perhaps I was born in the wrong decade.

On second thought, i was definantly born in the wrong decade.

well, I loved the thundercats growing up (yay reruns!) and still do. I dress as if i am stuck in the eighties, with my lowtops, suit coat, and what not..... and o yeah i have the time life eighties collection of cd's
*my favorite song ever right here*v(except of course for relient k's In Love with the Eighties)
"Come On Eileen"

Poor old Johnny Ray
Sounded sad upon the radio
Moved a million hearts in mono
Our mothers cried
Sang along, who'd blame them
Now you're grown, so grown, now I must say more than ever
Go toora loora toora loo rye aye
And we can sing just like our fathers

[Chorus:]
Come on Eileen, oh I swear (what he means)
At this moment, you mean everything
With you in that dress my thoughts I confess
Verge on dirty
Ah come on Eileen

These people round here wear beaten down eyes
Sunk in smoke dried faces
They're so resigned to what their fate is
But not us (no never), no not us (no never)
We are far too young and clever
Remember
Go toora loora toora loo rye aye
Eileen I'll hum this tune forever

Come on Eileen oh I swear (what he means)
Ah come on, let's take off everything
That pretty red dress Eileen (tell him yes)
Ah come on let's, Ah come on Eileen
That pretty red dress, Eileen (tell him yes)
Ah come on let's, ah come on Eileen
Please...

Come on Eileen too-loo rye-aye
Come on Eileen too-loo rye-aye
Toora toora-too-loora

Now you have grown, now you have shown, oh Eileen
Come on Eileen, these things they are real and I know
how you feel
Now I must say more than ever
things round here have changed
Too-ra loo-ra too-ra loo-rye-aye

[Chorus]

lol.... I hope this post isn't too long.....

*shame* I wore my best approximation of a white-on-pastel Don Johnson suit to my grade 6 dance in 1985. I believe the T-short was like pink, or maybe..fuschia.

Also I think about monchichi monkey dolls waay more than I need to.

Monchichi monchichi, so soft and cuddly....

I was beginning to fear I was the only person who remembers monchichis fondly (or at all!), so thanks for mentioning them. I LOVED my monchichi! But I can't remember why....perhaps because it was so soft and cuddly?
