You were a conscious little person in the 80's? Prove it. My proof:

Yeah I do a double take every time I see a black trans am because I think it might be the talking car from Knight Rider

I know all the words to the 'Fresh Prince of Bellair' theme song.

I have owned a pair of 'Hammer Pants'. D'ah d'uh d'uh d'uh...can't touch them.

You?

OH and how could I forget my fashion escapades.
I styled my way through grade school in my pink and purple high top LA Gears, my high top British Knights with florescent pink laces...

I tight-rolled my jeans. That's right. Way cool. I had the BEST scrunchie collection ever. Banana clips... hypercolour t-shirts... ocean pacific t-shirts.

my first computer was a commodore 64. i couldn't afford the c-64 though. lol. go Gianna sisters! (better than mario bros. any day!)

ooh, and sticker albums. and trading stickers all through recess. those sparkly butterflies were SO popular!

but i digress... or i might not get any sleep tonight. dangerous thread here people. dangerous thread.

How about the bandana tied around your thigh for absolutely no reason other than Chachi did it on Joanie Loves Chachi? Wham or Frankie Goes to Hollywood t-shirts. Getting rhinestones put on your t-shirts. Spiky leather bracelets. Trapper Keepers.

And Tina Turner's come back. 1984 was a great music year (for the 80's). "Private Dancer" by Tina Turner, "Born in the USA" by Bruce Springsteen, "Purple Rain" by Prince, "1984" by Van Halen, "She's So Unusual" by Cyndi Lauper and "The Unforgettable Fire" by U2 were all released in 1984.

ROFL this is great!

Hypercolor clothing had to have been the funniest things I can remember from the 80s/easrly 90s, how great was it when the sweaty kid in class would wear one and his armpit color would change????

LMAO this is so funny.

Crunch i also know the the words of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air how sad is that :D

Favourite fashion trends in the 80"s = wearing shorts over tights...............what were we thinking.

Kids TV i love it. Though most of these are English so a lot of you won't know them.

Rainbow, Raggy Dolls, Button Moon, Grange Hill the list goes on.

Big cassette players how on earth did we carry them.

Wow, I am so glad I was only born at the end of this decade. I consider myself a ninties guy. Or maybe a naughties guy.

*And so it begins*

NKOTB...who would have ever thunk that Donnie was the 'loser' Wahlberg brother???

*wore a down vest and jean jacket all through 1986 because of 'Back to the Future'*

I never tight-rolled the jeans...we used to use safety pins to taper the calf portion so tight it cut off blood flow to the brain. We were an army of juvenile jhodpur jockeys.

Biggie, I still have my E.T. sleeping bag.

The 80's were great. Remember when MTV used to play music? And they had that game show, Remote Control.

I also had a crush on Optimus Prime. tee hee :)
