I don't know but wouldn't that ruin the fun if someone sends you the answer?
If i'm not mistaken, a FA in a featured mystery doesn't count against you. I know i made a few FA in a featured mystery when i just started. My best suggestion is to quit the case if you are stuck and retry the case later when you have more skills or more contact.
