Did the amount of cases change before you can do a favor? I've done 7 so far today, and still no favor

As far as I know, the favor system hasn't changed. It should still be after every 4 solved cases (including previous favors).
Did you quit or get FA on any of those 7 cases?

I've done a favor and rebuilt today. It took me four cases, one more than normal according to the rule of thumb, but that's nothing unusual. Sometimes I get one in three cases, sometimes it takes four. I'm not sure why it would take you so many.

have you traveled today? that can sometimes affect it. it seems like i once traveled during a hunt, and apparently had left a favor in the city i left and it took me 9 or 10 cases for a favor. hope you get one soon!!

That happened to me too. I had a favor waiting before I traveled, but it was gone when I arrived in the new city. Took at least 5 more cases before I got another favor.
