This is a very simple and fun game. The first person makes a wish, and each following person finds some way to corrupt the wish and then makes a new wish. For example:

Person 1. I wish I had a dog

Person 2. You have a dog, but it dies the day after you get it

I wish I had a muffin

Person 3: You get a muffin, but you drop it and have to throw it away.

And so on.

Your firt wish to corrupt is this:

I wish I had a new car.

They won! Didn;t you hear? Except when they won, they saw you cheering up in the crowd and thought they recognized you as the man who kept rigging the games so that the Miami dolphins would win. The quarterback whips the trophy at you and you end up in the hospital with amnesia.

I wish that thinking of a wish was easier.

In a flash of inspiration you figure out a new formula for coming up with wishes easily, only to realise, it makes corrupting them easier too.

And you do. You know more than you ever wanted about SoM - Science of mind that is. In fact, it is all that is ever on your mind. Unfortunately this helps you very little in terms of gaining entry into a business school program. Unwilling to relinquish your desire for material things, nor fully endeared by your new-found knowledge, you are unable to reach a sensible compromise and instead fritter most of your life away in a constant state of indecision.

I wished the hobo wandering the streets outside my apartment would stop singing the same bit of a song at all hours of the day and night.

He does stop singing the song, but then you get that bit of song stuck in your head and you can't stop sing it.

My dear friend your wish is granted! We are so friendly here to you and everyone embraces you as a brother. You now feel cradled in the bosom of Sleuth. In fact you are so closely cradled that you begin to feel suffocated from all our affection and you begin to have panic attacks whenever you see us online, which is all the time.

I wish I knew how to make Phở.

You do know how to make Phở. but none of us know what the heck it is so you are forced to try and educate us and we bother you incessently with PM's much like Henry Walker bothered everyone else with PM's and made a pest of himself.

Oh, you'll know what to wish for. In fact...you'll know everything. So much, that we all become jealous and banish you from Sleuth forever.

You write good but then you become an English teacher to 13 year olds and the stress of trying to make them write good sees you winding up in the school hall rocking back and forth muttering and writing over and over I iz an good ishlish teecha
