We made some changes to the villain hunt clues today.

Most of these changes are intended to make them easier to read, and we cleaned up a few clues that were commonly misunderstood.

The bad news is, there were a couple situations where specific co-conspirators/hideouts that were impossible to narrow down to a single option, even with all the clues.

This was my mistake, and I’m really really sorry for the frustration it has caused people. Because of the random nature of these hunts, and the length they can take to complete, these situations were difficult to detect.

The missing clues have been added for those townies, so I’m now confident there are no longer any situations where somebody should have to guess on a villain hunt, as long as they are patient enough to get all the clues.

I can't remember the exact numbers, but I had almost 60 cases to solve one hunt. THAT was frustrating. Lol.

I had one of the infamous "bugged" cases when the VH-ing madness first started, so these are totally inflated numbers, but check out my first hunt stats:

Total attempted: 136
Quits: 45

Dehli total attempts: 79
Dehli quits: 31

It still makes my teeth itch to think about it *cowers*

I had a simaliar situration in Delhi. I think I had to quit more than half my cases. Then when I did solve a case, I got the same 3 clues over and over again. I was i Delhi over 3 days.

Wow. Delhi is certainly a tough town. This is my 3rd day and I'm up to 27 cases. From what you guys are saying, I may as well buy a LOT of suntan lotion.

I think the same clue in a row stat is 'fun'. :) I'm trying to beat 8 'West of the Bank' clues "in a row" (think that was Ijon Tichy from Dumb Witness who had that happen to him, Rosa will correct me if I'm wrong). So far I'm up to 5 in a row :)

Oh, I haven't kept track of the same exact clue in a row. I don't think I have the energy to do that. I'm too busy trying to solve cases!

Bazza! (lol mmm Australiana)

When you get to 5 or 6 clues in a row, trust me you'll be counting :D

Well, after reading the preceding posts I feel a bit better (I think) about my current hunt - thought perhaps I was wrong in thinking there was one clue missing! I've been camped out in London for a while now, solved 33 cases in a row with the same 4 clues, one of which really "stinks" :)
Guess I'll just relax and "go with the flow"

Reading this I feel better about 5 of my first 6 clues in Dehli being the same!

I had the same thing happen in London as Hawkeye. Over 30 some cases, same four clues, finally gave up and (thankfully) guessed right. I'm pretty sure that over 6 in a row were 'west of' :p and over half total were 'west of'.
