What is the criteria for having a post deleted or not? I can understand duplicates or fowl language. But a post was just deleted that simply stated a true fact.

If posts are going to be started about how wonderful somebody is, then shouldnt people be able to post if they dont think that person is all that great? And given the tone of the message boards lately, maybe these dedicated to glorify one person should not be posted.

Just a question, love the game and dont understand the politics around here yet.

roamie, Ben and I are working on a code of conduct for the game. However, there is no hard set of criteria for deleting/moving replies and posts per se. Just keep in mind that replies that are specifically calling out another detective in a negative way are often deleted. This is true for replies that are off topic and/or are overtly antagonistic.

When I delete posts/replies I will often inform that player of why his or her post/reply was deleted. I believe the other moderators follow this practice as well. I think deleted the post you are referring to and that player was informed of why I did so.

Posts that “glorify” one person, such as the Crunchisms thread, are meant to be fun. I’m not sure how forbidding those types of threads would create a better tone on the boards.

I have noticed that there are some players who are making an effort to keep the boards a fun, game focused, and inviting place to be. Please everyone, try to follow this example. When you post something, please think about how it will be received by the others. If you have a personal problem with a detective, please be mature enough to handle that situation in PMs and not on the boards.

roamie, we are glad that you enjoy the game!

I'm glad you asked for clarification on deleted posts/replies because I'm sure there are others who were wondering the same thing.

I want to add that some posts where also deleted lately cause they were revealing something about the expansion.
Ben asked us to delete any post that talks about it. So we can keep this a mystery to new AV hunters.
