For those, who have gotten all the smart skills and a set of charm (or tough) skills finished, suggestions on what to go for next? Should I try for faction skills or just start working on the other interview set? As a side note, I have gotten Hypnotism and Basic Interrigation already. I'm considering getting Underworld Connections but I'm not sure if I should go for something more immediately useful, like Lock Picking. Suggestions?

Catherine, (btw, I still love your name)
I would recommend research before lock picking. Research eliminates one suspect that would have turned up as a false alibi. They are cleared and can not be guilty. Lock picking only saves you one question per locked door, and might be a question you already know the answer to. Lock picking is good, but I think research is more helpful.

Catherine - I have Research but not Lock Picking and I find research to be of great use.

To those who replied - again thanks for the info. I think that I've decided to go with R Anstett and Arabella suggestion and go with Lock Picking next (once I have the points). Underworld Connections would be nice but the extra question seems more useful to me at the moment.

Hypnotism gets more suspects out of people...it's a charmin skill and it does not work 100% of time even with charming gear on..but it's a very nice skill

What are the chances of hypnotism working for a VERY TOUGH detective? I have all my tough and smart skills. I am working on getting my charm skills.

roamie - I don't think that archetype makes any difference in how well the skill works. As far as I know, it only affects the cost of the skill. With appropriate charm gear, the skill should work as well for you as anyone else. From experience, with charm gear and lots of women suspects (because of flirting bonus), I get about 2-3 suspects a case that it works on.

Hypnotism can certainly be used with a tough detective--but the odds of it working are maximized by wearing charm gear.
