Since I have heard that there is a certain agency here at Sleuthsville that is signing on brand new characters for the sole purpose of joining other agencies to come in and steal four expensive pieces of equipment, I have setforth a brand new rule in our agency to check out newbies before bringing them in, and this is the new rules made at LONE WOLF DETECTIVE AGENCY, as follows, to-wit:

The agent trying to join must send me an email by using their real email that they sign on with to play Sleuth here, and to verify that they are who they say their character is, they must give me the following information:

1) Character name
2) Time Zone-State or Country
3) First Initial and last name
4) Contact (Banker, Shoe Maker, Barber, or Tailor)
5) Experience points, and skills
6) What they do for a living
7) What time of the day they will be signing on.

And anyother information that will help, that way, if there was a problem with this person, we can give the info to Ben and/or Sunny, so he can follow-up on our request, to take care of the problem at hand. I feel, if the person is honest and their intentions are straightforward, then they will not mind to give the information requested in order to join an agency that will protect them in return. I hope others will consider what we've decided to do.

I am sure, people who like to snoop on agencies or rob them blind would love that. We have done 1.5-2 weeks and got robbed blind, spied on by someone etc.

I for one would be really surprised if you had no experience with it. We all have, though in a different ways perhaps.

We're a newer agency, about 3 weeks old, so to me it's not surpising that it hasn't happened to us yet. However, I'm sure it's only a matter of time, and I have no pretense about us being immune to it.

Because I am new to directing an agency I wasn't sure about what time frame would work best. Obviously you would know better than me, as you have been a director for much longer. I am perfectly willing to go along with and uphold whatever time frame the majority of directors think is best.

reviously, however, I still stick by my rule of asking them for their internet email address. First of all, I'm giving them mine, so they can send me the information about their character so I can verify that this person is the character playing at Sleuth

Sorry about that everyone...lol, I was fixing to retype my message, when I clicked on reply and sent my unfinished message...hehe, so sorry about that. What I was going to type was, that it's not necessary to get all of the info I stated earlier, however, since I'm giving this person my private email, it's my request that they be willing to at least send me a little about them so I can know whether he/she would fit in with our agents. I need their time zone to know when or with whom they'll be online with, plus their contact of course, and they don't have to tell me what they do for a living, however, in our agency, once everyone joins, we all share a little bit about ourselves, and I do have everyones private emails, plus we have our agencies MSN email to use, and MSN Messenger to chat together online. So, I don't see it any different, to ask them before inviting them in, then when they join us, then post it on our private message board. We have a mutual trust with all 9 agents at Lone Wolf, and I want to keep out any trouble makers. I still stick by my initial post, except maybe not ask for as much info. It seems that leaving them as a rookie isn't a solution either, because if they're this type of person, then they will wait it out, gain everyone's trust then wham, you'll find four expensive pieces of equipment gone out the door. The only other thing is putting a lock on each agent's locker and allow eacy one 4 piece each to change out, but the newbies would struggle without the use of our high valued equipment. I don't know, but I've worked hard these past six months, and sit for 8 to 10 hours daily working cases and helping others, to get favors and gifts, just to lose them to someone that is dishonest too lazy to work hard to get them, instead of going about stealing from us all. I don't mind giving to newbies in need, and help them out with equipment, if they ask, or I want to, but I can't stand a theif.I am willing to help watch out for the other agencies.

Again, I want to state that once the agents that has accepted their invitations to join LONE WOLF DETECTIVE AGENCY thus far, has felt comfortable in posting on our private message board, what they do, plus has given JUST ME, their private emails, because they can feel and know my heart that I can be trusted, and my goal is that all agents feel like family, which we are. We strive to make each one feel special and they are.

I just have to say, that DaRu, you really kick ass! Jstkdn and I really appreciate your support in this and these ideas are ones that I think we should begin to implement at Demons Deeds. It's such a shame that in a game where we PAY to subscribe, and therefore obviously care about and enjoy playing, we need to have these discussions. The unfortunate fact is that there really are few fool-proof ways of protecting our investments in this game. However, I hope that what's happened to us with the past two (actually three) bad apples has served to make us more careful.
Again, thanks and, as directors, we should all be sticking together to dissuade thieves from joining our agencies.
