I have created a sleuth miracle!

IT IS THE UNHIJACKABLE THREAD!

Go ahead and try, but this thread is about anything and nothing, all at the the same time!

This is the place where Al can talk about world domination, Crunch can worship David Hasselhoff, SS can try and find even more complicated questions for his pub quizzes, Nikkie can advertise for Tim Tams, cfm can troll for more Sharpie victims, JR can beg for the chance to win Bobo back, and bedazzling can be a way of life!

So go off, rant and rave, talk about anything, i don't care, I just wanted to see my avatar on the page (when its actually me anyways)

So go ahead, I dare you all to try and hijack me :)

It's pragmatic preparation for the inevitable, Crunch, that's what it is.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

Just remember, 50% of all drivers are better than average. So that means that 1 in every 2 people are wrong. So pick someone who is right less often than you are and bingo!

Do you have any idea how difficult it is to take three small children, one an infant who has a cold and is NOT happy, to the store?

I only have two, but I feel your pain MamaTerra. This is why the good people at the bakery counter give out free cookies.

that is why in the ice cream / frozen section of supermarkets they make refrigerator doors that can't be opened from the inside...

I have one (3 yrs old), and I don't take him to the grocery store. Ever. In fact, I don't let him out of the dungeon, er, basement. Duct tape is my friend.

just gurgle the 'safe word'; she'll let you out

it's such a small world...I need duct tape because the sleeve of my down jacket got eviscerated in my washing machine spin cycle and now it's hemorrhaging goose feathers.

(meh, I bought it at price club...s'probably more like sparrow feathers :s )

In other news, blood tests have confirmed that my gullet is crammed with the coolest named bacteria ever! It's called helicobacter pylori, and the name is close enough to "helicopter police" to make me feel like a real-live batman.

I've done some internet research. Some celebrities inflicted with helicopter spit or whatever include (but are not limited to):

Ayatollah Khomeini
Lorne Greene
James Joyce
George Bush (the elder)
Pope John Paul II
Imelda Marcos (gosh, swelling in the shoes should have been a dead giveaway)
Stonewall Jackson

My spousal equivalent teaches kindergarten, and I have >literally< had nightmares in which I am supposed to take care of groups of young children greater in number than 1. What's really amazing is how quickly (and how completely briefly) they can snap out of the melt-down zone if you drive by a park or anything else that appears to the toddler's eye to contain a slide or reasonable facsimile of a slide.

I threaten to duct tape my kids to the wall all the time. :) And sell them on E-bay. Or put a free sign out by the road. They just laugh and continue on. They're too young yet to understand threats besides "I'll take your toys away!" (which I use but then they find the toys. Sammy has learned how to unlock the cheap push button door knobs) and "You'll have to stay in your room all day!" (which I use but then they sneak out, the little boogers.)

Sam's Club is okay to go to. They have big carts. I can fit the baby's carrier in the basket and the other two can sit up front. They have these great new two seater carts. And I still have room for most of my food and stuff. It's places like Wal-mart that suck. For one thing the toys and candy. They don't have a candy free checkout lane like Farmer Jack. It sucks. For the most part my kids are really well behaved. But when they do act up, it's awufl. Cause if one crys they all cry. Especially the baby. If one of the older one's is crying, it sets her right off.

If they get too bad, I abandon my cart and take them outside or to the car if it's cold, till they calm down. But lately, I've only had to take them by myself a couple times. I usually wait till Jeremy comes home from work and either go by myself or drag him along. He carries the baby in his arms. And he likes the attention he gets. :D
