I have created a sleuth miracle!

IT IS THE UNHIJACKABLE THREAD!

Go ahead and try, but this thread is about anything and nothing, all at the the same time!

This is the place where Al can talk about world domination, Crunch can worship David Hasselhoff, SS can try and find even more complicated questions for his pub quizzes, Nikkie can advertise for Tim Tams, cfm can troll for more Sharpie victims, JR can beg for the chance to win Bobo back, and bedazzling can be a way of life!

So go off, rant and rave, talk about anything, i don't care, I just wanted to see my avatar on the page (when its actually me anyways)

So go ahead, I dare you all to try and hijack me :)

I love Ice Storms. It's so pretty out and Jeremy gets to stay home for the day cause the job site is literally frozen over. But now it's back to work. At least it's still pretty out.

Actually, it made into a couple of Daily Quizzes a while back. See what happens when you hang out here for a while....?? ;-)

I love ice storms to a point...then I hate them like a waitress hates nickel tips.

I lived in Montreal during the really really bad ice storm of 1998. Power lines all over the place froze, transformers exploded, and people had no heat in the middle of winter.

The good side: people sort of just got together in recognition of the common circumstance and actually behaved civilly and genuinely helpfully to one another. This was really cool. And yeah - your whole world is coated in this incredibly beautiful, shimmering, fragile, glass-wrapped exterior.

The bad side: You freeze to death without power in Montreal in winter. Or you get all MacGyver and try to rig up some gas-burning solution inside your house, and you die from carbon monoxide poisoning, or creosote poisoning because you decided to burn all your polyester in the fireplace for the brief flash of warmth.

This is absolutely true. When the power went out, all -ALL- my pants were halfway through a wash cycle in the laundry. The only options available to me to clothe my shameful lower half were:

a) wife's green and black striped leggings
b) wife's aunt's cream-coloured jogging pants that for some reason had rivets in them. And a lot of stitching that had over the years shrunk at a different rate to the rest of the pants, resulting in random billowing in the crotchal area.

I went with the leggings. People were so out of it because of the whole 'emergency' vibe that no-one batted an eye.

I would have gone with these. You could have impressed people in the freezing cold that way ;)

lol Sara.

Has anyone ever played tag?

In the dark?

On snowmobiles and four wheelers?

My husband and his siblings do all the time. (when there's snow for the snowmobiles, otherwise they just use the four wheelers.)

It's really fun, especially when we go into the blueberry bushes. (My MIL owns 20 acres of blueberries)
