After 4 successfully solved cases including the previous favour.
So it's favour-case-case-case-favour - provided of course that they've been solve correctly, if any have been missed you just make up for it by doing an additional case :)

Well, so far I've completed 13 cases sucessfully, one of which is a favor; quit one and one case was a botch -up.

I've received a golden turban from Tommy Lee for a case he wanted me to solve and The Music Teacher gave me a briefcase for solving her favor.

Oki so just 2 favours then - have you made sure to ask after 3 cases (4 if counting a previous favour)? If you haven't that's probably the reason why you haven't come across that many. If you forget to ask when you're up for a favour according to the pattern, it overrides the favour, meaning that you'll then have to do a new set of 3/4 to get to a favour :)

*thought favor difficulty was dependent on how many favors you'd done, not experience*

It doesn't override the pattern if you forget to ask for the favor--it just waits there for you until you do ask. Otherwise, we couldn't hold favors for hunts! :)

Yeah....the favor remains there until you do it. It doesnt leave. Unless you travel to another city, then it disappears and u have to redo the pattern

what she meant (I think) is that if you are holding a favor (or u did not ask), but then solve 3 more cases, you loose the previous one

Well, I asked everyone , dear boy , and so far no-one at all has any cases for me to solve. It's quite a dilemma!
