Maybe? Maybe not?? An idea.

I got this idea from the post about Australia and stolen kangaroos in the "WHAT IF?" thread... :)

I think it would be cool to have featured mysteries with themes from different countries, like Australia or Egypt, maybe an archealogical dig in Egypt uncovered something there or something... Any country, really, as long as the case focused on something definitive of that country, like a theme. I know the featured mysteries are usually set for the cities they appear in, but I thought I'd throw the idea out there anyway.

If we started WWII, maybe we could build up skill points and bump off detectives we dont like in an espionage scenario.

Sometimes BadAss like to show off how smart he is by throwing out those big words! He thinks it impresses the ladies. LOL

As for Absynthe? Got me on that one as well.

Absynthe is a drink - "The Green Fairy" - with anise as its base. Another important ingredient is wormwood, which contains Thujone, which can cause convulsions, thus it is illegal in the United States and other countries. It is 144 proof. It saw it's hey-day in the late 19th century when it was embraced by the artistic bohemion element - especially in France.

The traditional way of drinking absynthe is to place a shot in the bottom of a glass, then place a specially designed "absynthe spoon" (the bowl of the spoon is slotted) across the rim with a lump of sugar in the bowl of the spoon. Water is then SLOWLY dripped onto the lump of sugar and and into the glass. The absynthe will slowly turn an opalescent white color during this process (at least that's what I'm TOLD. I have no PERSONAL experience with this).

Absynthe is controversial - and so of course it has quite a cult following - enhanced by the fact that it was the favorite drink of the likes of Hemingway, Van Gogh, and Oscar Wilde.

As a side note - I think Bad Ass has no idea what these names he's throwing around refer to. I think he just saw them somewhere and thinks that using them will make people think him cultured and sauve. I mean, with a name like Bad Ass, you need all the help you can get! ;)
