Maybe it's just me... But I experienced it became a tad more difficult lately to solve AI cases. More & more suspects seem to clam up right from the start and the townies can't come up with names so the list is not complete. More & more cases with 3 or even 4 PE suspects clammed up. Or what about a case with 4 threads and 3 suspects referring to the tailor for their alibi's...

My surveillance skill seems to be of futile use now....

Is this in any way related to the upcoming new features (avoidance of building up too many unspent skill points)?????

Everyone: NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I think it is just a normal random cycle. We seemed to run into the same problem two weeks ago, but now are back to normal. Just bad luck some days.

I'm sure you have a point there Woody, and I admit I'm often too lazy to visit the locker ;)

But my point was that cases seem to harder NOW than before, and bad days do exist but bad weeks?

I rarely have a suspect that wont answer at least 1 question but probably average 3 a case that that is all they answer

The arch villians seem to be having some fun right now making life hard for you people, huh? See, we started educating the criminals so you would have a difficult time catching them. HAHAHA!

BadAss, I have noticed in the last few days that, regardless of the amount of gear I have on, the first (sometimes first and second) suspect will clam, which is unusual...But I just tossed it up to bad luck due to random generation as Ran mentioned. I'm hoping that is all that it is, but still...it makes you wonder.

Also, I've noticed in the same span of time that even when having +20 Smarts gear on the odds of my having one or two pieces of evidence unidentified (as straight/curly etc.) has increased greatly.

Here's hoping it is just randomness at work and not the diabolical arch villians making our cases harder :)

I am with Woody on this one Bad ass. Judge of Character is shockingly necessary in the AI cases, maybe a bit more so recently but i am not sure. I have had shockingly low base numbers recently ( number in JOC before adjustments) as low as like 12 for AI cases, which used to be very rare. Surveilance.... well surveilance is useless i think, at least as it works now. In full smarts in a favour case it will work one in three times, in an AI it is more like maybe 1 in 5.

I thought I was just having a really bad day. Considering the day before I bought advanced intimidation and then I couldn't get any of the townies to talk. Ben couldn't you have given us a warning?

Judge of Character is useless if you are a Very Tough or Very Charming detective. I change into full smart gear every time I search a crime scene and have top of the line tough gear. It doesnt change the fact that 3 or 4 pieces of physical evidence are the same and at least one of them does not have details.

Also, when you narrow down a suspect and go to find out which piece of evidence belongs to them, the PE clams up after the first question. AND what happens more often than not lately is 4 or 5 suspects ALL have the same alibi and the townie clams after the first question.

In the past the suspects and townies clammed more or less in cycles and certain PE evidence popped up more or less. This is different and is making it impossible to solve cases. The only plus side I can see is IF you are able to get all your suspects it really helps to be in an agency so everyone can help you out with their contact. Maybe this is a push to get everyone to want to join an agency and therefore they must subscribe. Good marketing ploy? Personally, needing someone else to help solve my case for me takes alot of fun out of the game.

The problem Roamie is that you have the full tough set on.

This might be the best way for you to work your cases right now because you do not have a full set of Charm skills also.

Once you have all the tough and all the charm you will want to wear a more balanced set based on the gender of your character (to take advantage of the flirting bonus). Then you will find that you have many fewer clamed suspects.

It is hard to get to that point where you do not need any help from anyone to solve every case you open.
