Possible site speed solution?

I pm'd Ben regarding the possibility of seperate servers for subbed and unsubbed agents. Any thoughts?

It has been discussed and suggested before in sleut talk not too long ago, either by seperate servers or partitioning the server. Ben has done a lot of server work already. And also he has introduced a cap. When it is really busy, subbed members can get on no problem, but unsubbed members are capped from logging in.

I think it is waiting for that time again, where enough money has come in to buy extra capacity. We seem to go through waves.

He just pm'd me about an upcoming major upgrade and possibly having 2 servers, so the speed problems may be a thing of the past soon.

I'd be willing to get on one of those stationary bicycle - doohickey connected to the thingamabobbie that attaches into the server and pedal for a few hours to get the speed cranked up in the meantime.
