Elsey walks into the local bar, The Tricky Mister, and asks her old buddy Cyrus to pour her a drink.
"Something girly," she asks him. "Something the boys will laugh at."
She smiles and looks around the room. She thinks about who else might walk into the room tonight. She turns back to her girly drink and waits for Sir James to arrive, as he undoubtedly will at some point.
Just then, the front door opens and in walks....

fonzie stands in the door way realizing he's to young to drink, so he turns around and starts looking for a back door

The door violently swings open and bangs loudly aginst the wall behind it, causing the lights to flicker ever so slightly.

"Oops, sorry 'bout that," I say. I'm just a little shaky without my first drink of the day. "Cyrus! I need some bourbon--and make it a double."

I mosey on over to the bar and the pretty ladies sitting there while waiting for Cyrus to pour my drink. "Evening ladies," I say, "You ought to watch yourselves tonight, I hear there's some guy skulking around the back door."

The back door to the bar opens suddenly, letting in a harsh beam of afternoon sun. Even as she squints against the glare, Clarice can see a young man (obviously out of place in the seedy bar full of disillusioned police officers, disgraced doctors, and morally corrupt detectives) sneak out the back. As Clarice's eye readjust to the smoky darkness, she spots an empty stool at the bar. "I need a drink," Clarice thinks to herself as she settles into the bar stool with a sigh. "I don't think I'll ever forget how messy that murder scene was."
"Cyrus, a scotch and soda on the rocks ... with a twist please. And make it a double. My damn client was guilty so I got stiffed again. I swear, it's enough to make me want to start picking pockets."
Suddenly, there is a loud crash in the corner of the bar. All heads turn to see ....

Elsey, startled by the loud crash, looks around to see what caused it.
*Wow, this place sure got crowded quickly! I'm so happy to see my fellow detectives unwinding after thier tough cases* she thinks.
Elsey stands on the rungs of her barstool and looks, still trying to see what caused the crash in the corner of the bar.

Everyone in the bar stopped talking at once. Next to the dartboard, a table was overturned and surrounded by shards of broken beer bottles.

Suddenly, Adelard, the town's notorious insane opium dealer struggled to his feet from behind the table. He had a long gash on his left check and he was mumbling incoherently.

Cyrus grabbed his baseball bat from behind the bar and raced to the table. Adelard had finally made it to his feet and was standing in a pool of beer and blood.

Just as Adelard said, "It was an accident, " Cyrus looked behind the table and saw ...

...the slumped over body of Adelphe, one of Adelard's five lovers. Her skull had been cracked clean open, though there was little blood on the body.

"Yep," I remarked to the crowd, "that's the work of an experienced killer."

Just then ctown walked up to the bar and yelled at Cyrus to give him usual Budweiser. As he was enjoying his beer and watching the ball game on the television the Shady Character came up to him and said....

"Hey, CTown. Are you here to see me? Ya know I could use your business. My fourth wife is hounding me for a new fur coat," the shady character said with a shake of his head. "I keep telling her it will make her ass look big."

CTown rolled his eyes and was about to tell the Shady Character to take a hike when he remembered that Lucretia had forgottened his birthday .... again!

CTown turned back to the bar and began making a contemplating his next move. He decided he would ...

sit back and see the way things transpired. He was enjoying the ball game since the Indians took a 3-2 lead but then all of the sudden....
