I'm just wondering if the harder the case is, the better chance of getting a bigger skill points or is it just depends on the case that you solve? (What I mean by this is when they made the case, they already put how much points is in that case)

'Experience points' per case ARE set, depending on the type of case. eg 640 of Incredibly Hard, 5140? for Almost Impossible. et ctec

But earning skill points is based primarily on your experience points! So no there's no set skill points per level of case.

You can stop right there, or keep reading for a more convoluted answer...

The more experience points you have the less frequently the skill points come. Basically you start off getting 1 skill pt for every 10 experience points (or thereabouts), and then there's a kind of sliding scale where you get to a point where it's 1 skill pt for every 40,000 exp points or so. (there's a more complicated answer cfm came up with the other day, but I can't find it in my post history *sighs*)

So... if you do cases much harder than you should be capable of doing, yes you will rack up the experience points quicker, and so the skill points will come more quickly too.

I think I remember getting 3 or 4 skill pts for doing a Hard case when I should have only been doing Easy's.
