I was solving a case today when I recieved the usual political message. My standing with the La Cosa Nostra would rise if I solved the case. The Order of Socrates wanted the matter to go away.
Since I'm aiming toward the Order, I quit the case. I look at my political standings and my relationshop with the Order didn't change. It was still Good (11). Nothing had changed. Is it supposed to change? Or does quitting only spare my last relationship with the Order? Sorry for such a long post.

nothing should change. the only way it can change is if you actually complete the case - you get +1 points for that faction. if they want to see the matter go away, that faction will go down -1.
another way to get points is to visit the order headquarters and see if they have any thing for you to do. check out the newbie FAQ's for more info on factions.
